The 2012 Gage Muscle Conference will be held from Wednesday 18th April to Friday 20th April 2012 2012 at at Canberra Boys Grammar School, ACT.

Sessions will start at 11.00 am Wednesday 18th April and finish mid-afternoon Friday 20th April 2012.

Themes

The 2012 Gage Conference will be on muscle with the major themes listed below.

• molecular mechanisms in Ca²⁺ signalling in heart and skeletal muscle
• excitation-contraction coupling in health and disease (cardiac and skeletal)
• muscle as an endocrine organ
• muscle aging and injury
• muscular dystrophies
• inherited myopathies
• Other neuromuscular disorders (myotonic dystrophy, FSH, inflammatory myopathies, inclusion body myositis, and non structural mechanisms of muscle weakness).
